About Kat

Kat Cartusciello is an NYC-based composer, sound-designer, and musician.

She works as the Program Associate for American Lyric Theater and volunteers with Hear Your Song. Kat received her MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in May 2021, and her BA (music) from Columbia University (departmental honors) in 2016. She is the recipient of the Max Dreyfus ASCAP Award and the Betty Green Fischoff Troupers Scholarship.

Bass Guitar

Kat plays bass guitar regularly at 54 Below (with 16 performances since October 2021). She played bass for several solo shows and EP Albums including Wren Rivera’s Solo Show and Vaibu Mohan’s Pure Brown Noise. She also played bass in the pit for Charlotte Lucas is 27 and Not Dead (Piper Theater Company).
